Daré
Everyone is once again invited to the monthly community
Daré (pronounced Dar-ray) to be held at Chuck Madansky's
and Wilderness Sarchild's the last Sunday of the month, October
25th from 1-9 pm. Daré is an African Shona word
meaning a sacred gathering for healing purposes. A Welcoming
of Spirits and intergenerational event geared towards the children
will begin at 2 pm. A group sharing circle begins at 4
pm, focusing on how we can help sustain one another and bring
healing to ourselves, our families, our communities and our
world. At 5:30 pm is a group hands-on healing circle.
At 7:15 pm is a dream circle. During all these activities,
folks may participate in meditation, sauna, fire circle, drumming,
dancing, singing, discussion, nature walks, swimming, and different
forms of group or one-on-one healing work. All ages are
welcome and there is no charge. Bring food and drink (no
alcohol, please) to share, a towel and appropriate clothing
for the sauna, warm clothes for outdoors, light clothes for
indoors, and musical instruments. Come or leave anytime
between 1 pm and 9 pm. For more info and directions, go
to www.capecoddare.org or call 508-896-9489.

Missing Art
The pastel piece of art I created called "Planting the Seeds
of Justice" is missing. It was a large image of two hands
planting a small sapling tree in the ground with a squirrel
in the back ground. Please let me know if you
have seen it around. It was last seen in the Barn near
the front door wearing a black frame;) My email is Cindy.gerry@comcast.net.
Thanks! Cindy Wood.
Converting
Our Records
First Parish is in the process of converting our records to
a new online system, VolunteerMatters (VM). We are also
converting our web page to WebSite Plus (WP). Together
VM and WP will provide our members with better, up to date access
to communications with First Parish. Stay tuned for further
developments. ...Dick Guernsey
