A Call to Action from the UUUNO

Support UN peacekeeping. Although this nation voted to establish all 16 peacekeeping missions currently underway in places like Darfur, Congo, and Haiti, under the Bush administration our part of the funding was not paid. President Obama has asked for $837 million to pay for past shortfalls and our 2009 commitments. Hopefully, further destabilizations in trouble spots like Chad and Somalia can be prevented. Let our senators and congressmen know that you want them to support the President's request for UN peacekeeping. June 23-27, 2010, Minneapolis Minnesota. - Carol Ann Yeaple.
We are pleased to announce that Marilyn McDermott and Liz Gordon have proudly accepted the positions of "coffee hour queens." They have committed themselves to service for the next year….or two...or three, Rest assured, you all will be given the opportunity to serve along with them by answering "YES" to their requests for a shot at covering the coffee hour once or twice a year.

Fair Trade Coffee, that spirited and robust drink has been the coffee of choice for our Church. Because we are committed to purchasing Fair Trade, we ask that you contribute weekly to cover the cost. A colorful basket will be provided for your convenience.
